Jeffery, sorry for your loss. Your uncle was a member of the National Association of the 10th Mountain Division. In our 2010 directory it said that he was in the 86th Infantry, Company L. Robert, I'm not sure what outfit but he was in the original group from WW 2 he served as a Mortar Man in the Italian Mountains. He was very modest and never bragged but I got him to tell a few war stories a couple of years ago. One night they were attacked by Germans and they fought them off at pistol range. He was the uncle of my wife Jane and just past away yesterday at 90.
